Caring for Community, Yesterday, and Today
A group of visionary philanthropists established the Jewish Community Foundation in 1949 because they understood that the well-being of our community depended upon planning for and investing in our future.
Today, JCF is one of the largest community foundations in New Jersey and among the top ten Jewish community foundations in North America. We have close to $600 million in assets under administration, and more than $100 million in future commitments. We currently hold more than 780 funds for individual, family, and foundation donors.
Regardless of changing times or economic conditions, the communal resources of Greater MetroWest will be here for future generations.
Meeting Today’s Needs, Planning for the Future
The Jewish Community Foundation is the legacy and endowment arm of the Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ. Legacy gifts create a solid foundation for the future by building our endowment, ensuring that the work of Federation and its partners will continue. Today, thanks to legacies left to the UJA Annual Campaign by previous generations of donors, the Campaign gets off to a strong start each year. We invest JCF’s assets to provide support for the community’s current needs and to preserve charitable resources for use by future generations.
The Jewish Community Foundation’s programs and activities are inspired by the Jewish values of tzedakah (practicing charity and justice), tikkun olam (repairing the world), and gemilut chasadim (performing acts of kindness and compassion).
